A Louis Vuitton scarf-wearing Algerian migrant groped a woman at a Tube station late at night, a court heard.

Mhfod Otman, 27, allegedly assaulted the passenger at Camden Town in north London after midnight on October 25 last year.

Wearing a black Trapstar jacket, a Louis Vuitton scarf, and Nike trainers, Otman appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

He spoke only to confirm his name and age, aided by an Arabic interpreter.

Sarah Madden, prosecuting, said: ‘On October 25 at 12.30am the victim was walking through a tunnel towards a platform when she felt someone touch her bum and her lower back area.

‘She could feel someone’s hand stroking up her body.

‘She turned around and the defendant was there.’

Otman, of Kingston-upon-Thames, southwest London, denied one count of sexual assault on a female.

He was granted conditional bail ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at Inner London crown court on February 3.

Magistrate Tim Cohen told him: ‘You are on conditional bail. If you don’t turn up at your next hearing you will be committing a separate offence.

‘If you commit any offence while on bail it will be treated more seriously.’
