A man in Oldham will appear at court in the New Year on trial for non-recent child sexual offences in the town.
Mumtaz Khan 01/01/1949 is alleged to have committed 13 offences against three victims – then aged as young as 13 – between 2000 and 2007.
He was charged in February 2025 by detectives in our local unit dedicated to protecting young and vulnerable people in the town. He has since appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court and Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, where he was given court bail ahead of his trial on 5 January 2026.
Our Oldham Complex Safeguarding was authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service to serve 8 counts of indecent assault, 4 counts of sexual activity with a child and 1 count of cause/incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
We continue work with specialist agencies to offer all those affected by this case ongoing support.
