A pakiStani Huddersfield man is due to appear before Leeds Crown Court charged with 15 counts of rape and other offending.
Mohammed Khalid, aged 55 from Huddersfield, will appear before Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday 26 May charged with:
Fifteen counts of rape
Two counts of indecent assault
Two counts of supplying Class A drugs
One count of sexual touching
Two counts of facilitating travel within the United Kingdom for the purpose of commissiong a sexual offence.
The 55-year-old, who self-defines as Asian Pakistani, was arrested on Thursday morning ( 23 April) at Manchester Airport on suspicion of the offences. They are alleged to have occurred in the Kirklees are between 2003 and 2007.
He appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24 April and was remanded in custody for the crown court appearance next month.
Kirklees Police continues to urge all victims of sexual offending, no matter when the offences may have occurred, to come forwards.
