A barber who raped a teenage boy and sexually assaulted a young girl has been jailed.
Mohammed Naveed, 42, attacked the boy after locking him in a room at the back of his premises.
He was also found guilty of sexual assault after he took the girl into the same room and told her to take her clothes off, before trying to rip them off himself.
Naveed of West Park House, Dewsbury, was jailed for nine years after being found guilty of rape, engaging in sexual communication with a child, paying for sexual services, sexual assault on a female and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
The court heard the young boy had previously been given free cannabis by Naveed but on this occasion the defendant told the teenager he would “have to work for it”.
When the boy refused to co-operate with Naveed, he pinned him down on a sofa and raped him.
The court heard the boy was also sexually abused by 43-year-old Mohammed Afsan, who was also jailed.
In a victim impact statement read by prosecutor Louise Reevell, the boy described how he suffered sleepless nights and nightmares.
Afsan, of Lynfield Drive, Bradford, was jailed for eight years after being convicted of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and breaching a sexual risk order.
Speaking after sentencing, PC Morgan Hirst of Bradford Districts Child Safeguarding Unit, said: “We welcome the sentence handed down for these abhorrent crimes.
“These two men abused and groomed their victims by giving them rewards through cash, drugs and vapes.”

A Bradford barber has been jailed for nine years after he locked a boy in the back room of his shop before pinning him down and raping him.
The youngster, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had previously been given free cannabis by Mohammed Naveed, 42, but on this occasion was told he would “have to work for it”.
Bradford Crown Court heard on Tuesday that when the boy refused to do what Naveed wanted him to, he locked the door to the room and raped him. The court heard the teenager was sexually abused separately by 43-year-old Muhammed Afsan who committed sex offences against the youngster in the back of his Audi car.
Afsan, of Lynfield Drive, Bradford, was jailed for eight years after the court heard he was also in breach of a sexual risk order made by magistrates in 2022. He breached that order by having a 15-year-old girl, who must not be identified, in his car on two occasions along with the teenage boy.
The teenage girl was also the victim of a sexual assault at the hands of Naveed when he took her into the back room at the barber shop and told her to take her clothes off. When she refused, Naveed tried to pull her top off, but the boy came into the room and stopped him.
Prosecutor Louise Reevell said Naveed had been convicted by a jury of rape, sexual communication with a child, paying for sexual services, sexual assault and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. Mrs Reevell told the court that the boy was “rewarded” for sharing photographs with “vapes and money” and Naveed had also paid him £20 for oral sex.
Afsan was convicted by the jury of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child, breaching the sexual risk order and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
In a victim impact statement summarised by Mrs Reevell the boy described how he suffered sleepless nights and nightmares. Recorder Patrick Palmer said the two defendants had not been operating together, but they had each stood their trial and been found guilty on all counts.
The judge said: “You must both understand your offending is serious offending which obviously warrants immediate sentences of imprisonment.”
Both men will now be subject to lifelong sexual harm prevention orders and they will also have to register as sex offenders with the police for the rest of their lives.
