A rapist who targeted a woman in Slough after giving her alcohol late at night has been jailed for a decade.
Andrew Collins, 35, was sentenced to 10 years in jail with a further three years on licence, as well as a sexual harm prevention order, at Reading Crown Court on Thursday (January 22).
Collins, of Beechwood Avenue in Ealing, had been found guilty of vaginal rape of a female by unanimous jury verdict, following a six-day trial in the same court on November 17, 2025.
Detective Constable Cat Sykes, the investigating officer, praised the victim for her ‘incredible bravery’ in helping bring Collins to justice.
Collins, then aged 34, was captured on CCTV footage following his victim through Slough town centre between 6pm and 7pm on November 12, 2024.

A man found guilty of the rape of a woman he followed through Slough town centre hours before attacking her has been jailed.
Andrew Collins, 35, from Slough, was captured by CCTV tracking the woman and sharing his contact details with her. He later plied her with alcohol and raped her on 12 November 2024.
He was arrested a week later and found guilty of rape at Reading Crown Court on 17 November 2025 and not guilty of one count of oral rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration.
Collins was jailed to 10 years in prison with a three-year extended licence period at Reading Crown Court on Thursday.
He was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Det Con Cat Sykes, from Thames Valley Police (TVP), said: “The victim in this case has shown immense bravery throughout this investigation and we thank her for her continued support, patience and the faith she has placed in the criminal justice system.
“Collins’ sentencing is a testament to the commitment of TVP to bring to justice sexual offenders and to make our streets a safe place for everyone,” she added.
“I would also like to reassure the public that we will always look to prosecute anyone who commits sexual offences, recent or non-recent.
“You will be supported, no matter what the passage of time, and we will bring offenders to justice.”
